Project e+: Dementia Community Support Service

In view of the prevalence of dementia among the elderly and a relatively high percentage of elderly in the District, Kwai Tsing District Office collaborates with HKADA to launch Project e+: Dementia Community Support Service, which aims to raise community awareness of the dementia issue through sustained publicity campaigns; enhance early detection of dementia patients for timely interventions; and provide concrete support to dementia patients and their families.

pop-up health checkup station will be set up at different locations in Kwai Tsing.  Basic health checkup (measurements including blood pressure, fat percentage and BMI) and preliminary quick screening test for residents will be conducted on-site.

1. If Typhoon Signal No. 3 or above or Black Rainstorm Signal is hoisted, the pop-up health checkup station will be cancelled. If it has commenced service, HKADA staff will stop the service immediately.
2. The pop-up health checkup station will resume service when the Hong Kong Observatory has cancelled Typhoon Signal No. 3 or above or Black Rainstorm Signal for 3 hours and at least 2 hours before the end of the service session.
